CHAIRMAN –SUE TALBERG
|
I have had horses all my life. I grew up with ponies doing all the Pony Club things, and from my early teenage years was very interested in endurance riding, participating whenever I could. During the mid-Eighties and Nineties I bred and produced small show hunters for the ring. I now have a Connemara X mare, who has done a bit of everything, and really enjoys endurance, this will be our third season competing. |

PR & TREASURER – HARRIET HAMMOND

I own and manage Masons Stud, Winchester. We specialise in breeding and producing Anglo Arab Show & Sports stock. I have 25 stud horses (Arabs, Anglos, PBAs, TBs) including 3 resident stallions. Im predominently involved in the production of show horses from youngsters to ridden Champions. I travel around the countryside and compete nationally when qualification allows at shows such as Horse of the Year Show. I also have about 10 full liveries from Endurance, Eventing & Showing homes who I ride as well as look after. I took up endurance riding in 1999 on a little crabbet Arabian, called Damera (by Ahmoun). More recently in 2010 I bought a pure bred mare called Natida Rahmoon whom we took up to Advanced level in her debut season. I look forward to breeding & competiting more endurance horses over the coming years. harriet@masonsstud.co.uk or 07785 765 018 |

EVENTS & RIDE SECRETARY – CAROLINE BENNETTS

Im a qualified equine massage therapist based in Verwood in Dorset. I have been riding for many years enjoying a wide range of disciplines. I discovered the wonders of endurance riding in 2006 & have not looked back. My highlight to date was having achieved FEI 2*at Cirencester. The sport not only challenges the physical side of both horse & rider but also the mental bond you have with each other. c.bennetts@btinternet.com or 07714 333284 |

I have been riding for over 45 years. I am now semi retired from the NHS. I have been involved in Endurance for over 30 years, the last 20 competing. I started with a 13.2hh New Forest Pony called Bay (Glen Ocean Wayward Lad) with whom I was successful. Completing many 100 miles of the Golden Horse Shoe. In the last few years I have competed on a 14hh Arab Mare (Dainty Dancer), a 15.2hh Arab gelding (Mydass) and a 15.1hh Arab Mare (Crystal Gleame). I hope to help the grass root members to enjoy the sport of endurance. |

SECRETARY – GILLIAN MANN

I have been endurance riding since 2002 and have one horse who is an Arab called WFA Zaleem. He is 12 years old and has a real aversion to sheep, which can be interesting when riding on the Downs or Exmoor. Both of us are advanced and horsey ambitions are to complete 100 miles at the Golden Horseshoe and 100 miles in a day. My day job is as a civil servant currently working for Natural England and my other hobby is orienteering so am very happy to do some navigation instruction. |
