THE SILVER GAMBLER SERIES

CHAMPIONSHIPS

To qualify for the Championship Classes, you must have completed at least 3 rides in the series, and scored 30 points or over at each. If you are not sure, please contact Sarah or Caroline, and they can check the results for you.

If you have not attained qualification for this year, you can still enter the ride in non-Championship classes.

There will be 3 Championship classes: Open (40km), Novice (30km) and Jnr riders 13yrs & under (20km)

As from this year, results from the Championships, and Tenantry Farm will count towards the following years Championships (2012).

The accumulator runs from Feb to October to be awarded at the AGM end of the same year.

The accumulator is based on all the points scored from all the series plus certain classes at Mid South National Rides. (New Forest Rufus ) We also add mileage points at 1 point per kilometre, and helpers points at 20 points per ride.

Prizes awarded at the AGM will be from the 4 main categories:

Open, Novice, Newcomers & Pony Club

The South Coast Championship ride to be held on 15th October 2011 at the Breamore Ride at Tenantry Farm. Qualifiers throughout the year for members in the South West, Wessex, Mid South & South East

DISCOVER ENDURANCE with ‘The Silver Gambler Series brought to you by the Mid South Group. If you want to discover something different or a new way to enhance and compliment your chosen discipline, ride across new country, or enjoy a little competition. Endurance could be your answer! Learn a great way to get to know your horse better! Horses love it too!! Something for everyone - Distances start at 17 kim (10 miles) to 40km (25 miles) Win points and get rosettes!

RIDES/EVENTS 2012

There is to be a series of rides in the New Forest and Tilford during 2012 which will be known as “The Silver Gambler Series”.

It will be a series of local rides up to a distance of 42km open to members and non-members. Points will be awarded in each class under our own tried and tested Rufus System to be able to award placings as well as completion rosettes. Awards will presented and there will be a Final in September for those who have completed 3 rides in the series and have gained at least 30 points in each ride.
